Every time I see this image I have a moment when I forget to breathe. When I took the image in the middle of winter it had been a few weeks since I had been on a shoot. We had just gone into lockdown in Sydney and I couldn’t leave my local area and on a foggy morning I set out down the hill from Wollstonecraft towards the harbour and Berry Island Reserve. I love the stillness of the fog on the water and the shapes appearing like half thought through ideas of real objects.
