Sinking into the canvas this deep pool of blue shows the calm of a large pool of water and also the streams that lead to it when a large rain happens.Knowledge Pool is part of my experiments with pure colour, shape and form. Within these experiments I am able to find a more pure beauty in the colour and the shapes that I create, bringing a sense of the joy I find when working in the studio. I utilise am oil paint and medium washing technique with multiple layers, working back into the layers before the earlier are dry. This gives a sense of urgency to the work as well as creating a unique effect like clouds forming storms or lighting flashes.
Knowledge Pool is 10.16cmx10.16cm and comes in the pictured white bevelled frame which is 20.32cm x 20.32cm
